would stay here again without hesitation.
Room was of adequate size with air conditioning, and a cozy private bathroom. TV had cable channels. The complimentary snack plate on Christmas was a nice touch. Early check-in was appreciated. Super nice team and friendly. Close to the train station.

the location was convenient being on business, as it was close to the Swiss train station / airport bus / tram station. The hotel is split into 2 - the Euler (more up market) and the renovated City Inn (more basic - but clean and comfortable).
Some of the rooms can be on the compact size.

included Basel Card, proximity to Basel SBB, unique and quirky layout
The confusing maze-like navigation can lead to frustration. Room sizes were often misleading and sometimes tiny, not matching the online descriptions!!!

Wonderfully helpfull staff. Free WiFi. Free City-wide Tram & Bus pass. Room small but very comfortable & high-spec with Multi-lingual tv, Air- con & great shower. Quick breakfast (Coffee, croissant & Juice) very good value at SFr8 compared to prices elsewhere (SFr 6.40 for coffee)
Room & full breakfast expensive (but then everything in Switzerland is). Very small room - difficult to fit a cat in let alone swing one. I wish Booked.net had made it clear that entry to the hotel rooms & reception were actually via Hotel Euler.

Location was fantastic and the free transport card was great..The Number 50 bus to the airport was opp the Hotel near the station and we used our free transport card. This saved us 50 swiss francs if we had gone by Taxi.Easy to travel around City.
We did not like the long walk to our rooms and the stairs.Lift under renovation. Also shower gell container in shower empty..Free internet in rooms did not work.we Booked 2 rooms one for our friends and expected to be close to each other not 2 floors apart.

Here's what worked, and what didn't
The staff were professional and friendly, allowing late checkout at no charge! The free tram passes were a fantastic perk, with easy access to explore the city.
Be prepared for the maze-like layout. Navigating the hallways can be confusing.

Although the morning/afternoon staff at the front proved to be very helpful, the evening/late night staff at the front was borderline rude when we requested extra towels and didn't get me a toothpaste when I came down to request one.

Loved my EXTRA SPECIAL stay of our three week European vacation. I had a lovely little and recently refurbished room with a double bed, very large well appointed bathroom, as for instance and everything was really good. The location was ideal, for example, Basler Munster was just a short walk away from the hotel. There was the train station near the venue.
The room had awful views.

They had upgraded us to a suite, the room was very spacious, especially the bathroom is so big with dual basins! Service was Excellent too. They gave us a city mobility pass for taking public transport which can be use to go to the airport!!! Value for money for sure!

Conveniently located just steps away from the train station, the hotel offers air conditioning which was great for a restful night. The staff were helpful, providing everything I needed to navigate Basel easily. My room was quite small and the decor felt dated.

Great location next to railway station of Basel. A lot of connections readily available for public transportation. Good value for money, considering the cost of living in Basel Swiss.

Staff were helpful and friendly... room was fresh and clean!
The collection of stairs and lack of elevators... were found it a bit confusing and although it was fine for us to go up and down, I would not have liked to have been anyone with mobility issues.
